Canadian Capital Markets

Canadian Capital Markets is the first conference of its kind in the region, offering an in-depth look at the opportunities and risks for global investors in Canada. The country is experiencing healthy growth, with gains in business investment and public-sector spending; however headwinds from NAFTA talks and U.S. tax policy implications remain wildcards. In order to provide a deeper understanding across markets and assets, Bloomberg journalists will interview leaders in government, industry, and finance on the outlook for the Canadian economy, trade implications across borders, and investment in sectors such as housing and energy.

Presentation: Inside Bloomberg's European Headquarters

Bloomberg's new European headquarters was built in the heart of the City of London with the premise of meeting the needs of growing employee population and representing the company’s culture, values and ambitions, from the ground up. Conceived by its founder Mike Bloomberg in collaboration with leading architect Lord Norman Foster of Foster + Partners, the building defines a new generation of 21st century office design. However, shortly after breaking ground in December 2010, it uncovered one of the U.K.’s most significant archaeological sites – a temple dedicated to the Roman god Mithras. As stewards of the ancient site and artifacts, Bloomberg created an innovative museum experience that will change the way we encounter archeology. Join us for an inside look at it all.
