Q&A to share with event attendees.
Tips for the best mobile app experience:
● Be sure to be connected to a strong wireless network
● Make sure your app is updated. Check your app in the app store – if you see an “Update” button – just press it. If no button, the app is updated!
● Enable notifications within the app and within your mobile app’s settings to receive announcements from your event organizer.
● Stay up-to-date on announcements by clicking the bell icon in the top right corner.
● To make sure content is up-to-date: From time to time, pull down on the app.
If you plan on joining a virtual stream via Mobile Device:
● iPad & iPhone users Safari and Chrome (Safari is preferred)
● Google device users, Chrome
● Update your devices OS to the most up to date version the
● 3rd party cookies within your mobile web browser are enabled
Question: I’m not in the correct event – how do I find my event?
Answer: Click the 3 bars on the top left of the app, then click “My Events” (next to the ticket icon). This will take the registrant to a list of events they are registered for. They can click on
their event and re-enter their event (this won’t prompt them to log-out and have to re-enter their email and ticket #/magic link).
Question: How can I view updates made to the agenda? I don’t see an update the event
organizer said was updated (such as an agenda update).
Answer:
1. Within the event, pull down to sync and get any updates.
OR
2. Refresh the app > Click the 3 bars on the top left of the app, then click “My Events” (next to the ticket icon). This will take the registrant to a list of events
they are registered for. They can click on their event and re-enter their event (this won’t prompt them to log-out and have to re-enter their email and ticket
#/magic link).
Question: I can see the main Agenda and Home page, but when I click in to a specific
session or other areas of the app, no information is loading.
Answer: This could be due to your internet connection. Another possibility is that since the app does not save content, every time you re-open the app it fetches information again so
can take some time to re-load.
Question: I don’t see my session’s location in the Agenda – how can I view it?
Answer: Once you on the Agenda tab, you need to click in to the individual session to view its location.
Question: How can I view announcements?
Answer: Click the bell icon in the top right corner.
Question: How can I see the event’s new branding (I see older branding)?
Answer: Check your app store to see if the app needs an update – should have “Update” button – just press it. If no button, the app is updated!
Example communication: “Hello! We’ve updated our app branding. Please go to your app stores and make sure you have the latest version of the app: {link here, accessible in Event
Experience > Mobile > Mobile App > Share The App Download URL With Attendees}” You could add something like “If you see an “Update” button, just press to update. If you don’t see it, you’re app is already updated.”
Question: How do I log-out of the app from the app?
Answer: Click the 3 bars on the top left of the app (menu), then click “Don’t see your event?”. A pop-up will appear – click “Go to login” and then the person will be prompted to log in again.
