Sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) presents a range of challenges; in particular, it’s pricey, and there’s nowhere near enough of it. Production at scale presents resource challenges, and the demand for SAF far outweighs the current supply. But given that SAF provides the most effective and immediate way for the airline industry to cut its emissions, the SAF market needs to grow quickly in order for airlines to decarbonize.

We’ll discuss the current state of the SAF market and what can be done to increase production of SAF and cut production costs.
