Bloomberg Tech
When we talk about technology, we need to talk about trust.
Technology shapes the global economy, moves markets, enhances competitiveness, creates opportunities for trade and defines global politics. At an individual level, it impacts our health, investments, the information we consume, the way we connect with one another and our decisions at the ballot box. In a year that sees almost half the world’s population vote in a new government, trust is more important than ever.
At the heart of many trust issues is AI: deep fakes, misinformation, transparency, bias and cynicism at how technology is deployed must. As we increasingly put technology and AI at the heart of our homes and our work, these issues need to be tackled.
How much can we – and should we – trust technology? Why does it matter and how do we build it?
At the Bloomberg Technology Summit in London, we will bring together visionaries, investors, founders and policymakers to discuss these critical questions. Join us. And let’s close the trust gap.

Yet striking the right balance has proven difficult, with the EU’s AI rules drawing criticism from industry leaders and some politicians, and California’s AI bill being vetoed by the governor, which could undermine public confidence in efforts to rein-in risks.
