Work Shifting 2.0: Redefining Normal

Over the course of the past year, companies around the world have been buffeted by an extraordinary number of challenges.

First, the pandemic and lockdowns sent digitization plans into hyperdrive as companies scrambled to confront a remote-only reality. Then came preparing for a return to office or adopting a hybrid structure for a workforce that had built lives around being able to work remotely.

Now, with a (mostly) vaccinated workforce (mostly) back in the office, the major question confronting business leaders is: Is this working? Is hybrid work really the future or do companies need to pick a lane — full RTO or fully remote? How do these decisions address the top concern among CEOs–attracting and retaining top talent?

At Work Shifting 2.0, we’ll dig deep into the new models that are defining the current era and look at several topics of intense interest to business decision makers as they look ahead to a full recovery:

  • The War for Talent: What tools are available now to make sure your business stays competitive in the war for talent? How do companies compete for the diverse talent so critical to long-term success? What is your company’s strategy to increase retention and expand opportunities?
  • The Resilience Imperative: How have companies internalized resilience lessons learned during the pandemic? Are agility and decentralization key themes of your business operations strategy?
  • Technology and Security : Has technology kept pace with the needs of businesses? Is your current structure providing enough security? Where are the gaps? What new tools are there to help optimize performance and reduce risk?
  • Policy Matters: How are federal, state and local governments helping businesses recover and thrive in this next phase?
  • Leadership Reimagined: Perhaps no area was tested more than leadership during the pandemic. What are some of the most valuable leadership lessons learned and how have those been applied during this next phase? What does it take to effectively communicate a vision for the future in this new era?
  • Culture That Endures: Creating a strong, vibrant and positive company culture can help businesses weather the storm, but the pandemic tested many assumptions about what “company culture” actually means. How are business leaders instilling corporate culture in a time with fewer face-to-face meetings and shared experiences?

Join us as we dig into these and other important topics, explore the future of work, and unpack the challenges and opportunities facing global business today.
